When all Else Fails - Read the instructions.
Like many men, I have been guilty of knowing better than the manufacturer and starting on a project (such as building kit furniture) without referring to the instructions, only to come stuck before finishing because I put something together wrong.
In teaching my grandchildren to build Lego models, I taught them how to follow the instructions, they are frustrated with the slow and tedious progress sometimes, but always excited when the finished model looks just like the picture on the box.
When you buy a product, any product, it usually comes with some instructions, assembly instructions, how to use instructions, safety instructions etc.
The manufacturer has a vested interest in you assembling the project correctly for the best use, they don't want your failed project to bad mouth their product because you failed to follow the instructions.
As an architect and developer of a website now with thousands of members, I prepared a series of instructions for joining, setting up a personal profile and how to use the site for maximum impact. It never ceases to amaze me that the vast majority of members don't follow the instructions, don't do the simple training, don't get much interest from other members and subsequently fall into oblivion on the site, suggesting that it doesn't work.
The human creator, also created a set of instructions for best use, we tell our children to follow them, we employ people to help us (pastors and priests), yet the vast majority of the problems we encounter in life are from one simple mistake; not following the instructions. Read your Bible. God knows best.
