From the age of 3 to 12 years, Lyn was continually sexually abused by relatives and close family friends. As she grew up, she buried her deep dark secret and never acknowledged the inner pain and emotional trauma it caused.
Having been in pastoral ministry for most of her adult life, Lyn dedicated herself to helping others. On the outside, many would have thought Lyn had it all – a wonderful husband, four sons and twelve grandchildren – but on the inside she knew she was a different person.
Then one day, through incredible circumstances, her life changed forever. For the first time in 50 years, she felt free from the burden of the abuse and able to walk forward with confidence in her God-given destiny.
Lyn’s story could be yours. Bad things do happen to good people, but God can turn what was bad into something very beautiful, if you allow Him to.
Lyn will be sharing her journey from a child growing up in rural Australia to discovering the healing power of God from the devastation that sexual abuse can bring and the keys that can bring you freedom.
Anyone who has suffered from sexual, physical or emotional abuse or those who are supporting such people are encouraged to attend. Individual prayer for healing and restoration will be available.
